'Emergency' exercise planned for this weekend

Strathclyde Fire and Rescue will be co-ordinating an emergency exercise on the Glasgow Subway network on Sunday 3 June 2007. This exercise forms part of an ongoing contingency plan and will also involve Strathclyde Police, Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, the Scottish Ambulance Service and the British Transport Police.

Subway services will not be affected as the exercise will not begin until the Subway has closed for the evening.
