Nightrider bus service due to end
SPT is reminding passengers that the Nightrider bus service is due to be withdrawn in July.
A pilot service was introduced 15 months ago to assess potential uptake of late night transport along the route of the two Glasgow Subway circles.
Despite considerable investment and a major publicity campaign, passenger numbers have not been high enough to justify continuation of the service.
The service will run for the final time on the evening of 12 July.
The decision to end the pilot was made at a meeting of SPT's Operations Committee in May.
SPT is now looking at the possibility of extending the Subway service, particularly on a Sunday.
Implications for the Subway's ongoing maintenance schedule would have to be taken into account in any proposed change to operating hours.
